I was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised on the South Side. In my mid twenties I visited some relatives in Maryland. I saw how beautiful the state was compared to the Chicago area. Don't get me wrong, I love Chicago, and I miss Chicago. But there is nothing like seeing all the beautiful trees change colors in the fall. In the Chicago area you need to drive to one small town to go to the forest preserves to see such beauty. You don't see it all over like you do here. I do have to say that Chicago has better food though. I also saw that the economy was better in Maryland. So we decided we were going to move to Maryland to be around Granny.

Anyway, I took some classes in the secretarial and computer fields back in Chicago. When I came to Maryland I took some more classes for small business and accounting. Although, I truly hate math! I worked for some small companies in Management part time and then took a full time job for an agent with The Guardian Life Insurance company in Northern Virginia. I loved working there but as everyone here knows I-495 is a nightmare. None of that bothered me until we had Josh. I did go back to work for an additional 4 months after he was born. Roger knew that it was really weighing heavy on me that I would leave at 7am and get back home sometime between 7-8pm. I never had time with my first child, the child I had wanted for 10 years. So, at the time Roger had partnered up with another gentleman. They decided to start contracting with Home Depot. They did not realize that they would need someone to run an office. They tried to make the calls, do the invoicing, installing the doors and windows, working with the stores and customers. It just started getting bigger then they were. So the only solution...I started working for them at home! I was finally using all of the skills that I learned. Well, except the short hand. And best of all, I can now watch my son grow up. It wound up that we needed the other mans wife to help out too, and I had to hire an additional employee to keep up with everything. I finally had to hire someone else to do my filing. (That was kind of cool!) I found out later that it was the best move I made all the way around. The agent lost his license.

So this is what I have been doing since. Roger has since gone on his own. The kids have started school and we stopped working with The Home Depot. It was a great place to start when we first moved to Maryland, but the referral business really started booming for us. Which takes us to where we are today. I knew that if we wanted to compete we needed to have a website. So, I started making up a website for Roger. I have never done it before but I was willing to try. That website was the greatest thing! Now, we have upgraded to a new site and hope that we can bring more resources to you.

All I know is that I have some very special children a great husband and a great job. I am really blessed.

If you are ever in the Chicago area you need to try an Italian Beef sandwich, a breaded steak sandwich from Rickobenes, and a real Chicago Hot Dog. There is nothing better! Oh I forgot, PIZZA!

Joshua Aaron 9 yrs old - future Office Manager - Son

My name is Joshua Aaron. I think that is a really cool name. Right now I am in the 4rd grade. I have High Functioning Aspergers Syndrome so I have a really high IQ. My interest include Whales, Sharks, Insects, Amphibians, Reptiles, Mammals and Dinosaurs. I plan on going to college to be an Oceanographer. I have already been offered a job at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois because of my studies. I read all the time. Discovery Channel is my favorite. I learn a lot from them. A majority of my books are purchased from Discovery. Right now I am reading close to a 12th grade average. I have been lucky enough to be tested at the JHU for the gifted and talented program. I am hoping to be able to study at the National Aquarium. Please cross your fingers for me. I am also very interested in the environment. I think we need to do much more to protect our land, air, and oceans. You'll hear from me in about 10 years because I plan to do something about it.

I will keep you updated on my studies. But please feel free to talk to me if you have any studies in this area. I would really like to talk with someone who knows as much as I do and can teach me more. I am especially interested in the ocean, whales, sharks, dolphins, etc. I won't let you down, I am very smart and can have a very intelligent conversation with you. I even told the guy at the Shedd Aquarium that he was wrong on what he told the crowd and he found out that I was right. How can you get anything wrong about sea urchins and sea anemones. The clown fish live with the sea anemones and they use symbiosis. There are little shrimp like things that live with the sea urchins. The clown fish does a little dance in the sea anemones to be able to live in the sea anemones. They need to rub the wax from the sea anemones on themselves to be able to go into it. And then, when it is time to mate, they go find a mate, go deep into the sea anemones and lay their eggs. And then they get ready to have babies. The sea anemones float in the sea until they find their favorite spot and then they attach themselves. And then the sea anemones wait for the clown fish to come. Or else the butterfly fish will eat their tentacles. Then there won't be any sea anemones left. Without the clown fish the sea anemones won't survive because the clown fish need the sea anemones while the sea anemones need the clown fish. The sea urchin does not sting you while the sea anemones does. So how could you confuse the two.

Jonathan Joseph (J.J.) 7 yrs old - future Operator - Son

My name is Jonathan Joseph, but I like to be called JJ. I am in the 1st grade right now. I am interested in police and army. My goals in life are to go into the military, fly jet fighters, and get the bad guys. After that, I plan to be a police officer just like my dad. I decided all of this after 9/11. That day changed my life in such a dramatic way. I have so much respect for our army guys and our police officers. I really want to be just like them!

I am already practicing my shooting and flying on dads computer. I fly Comanche Helicopters, I jump out and I shoot the bad guys. My mom really doesn't want me playing these games because she thinks that I am too young and I will have bad dreams. Well, I have only had bad dreams a couple of times. But I know that in reality, there is no bad army guys throwing grenades into my bedroom window. She doesn't even want me watching my favorite show Scooby Doo. She says that I get bad dreams from that too. Well, not really, I only had a dream that Dafney was trying to kiss me. That has nothing to do with ghosts. But everyone knows that there really are ghosts and monsters. I saw some on Halloween. And you can't forget about Henry. He's the ghost that always seems to come out when we won't go to sleep at night. He's a headless horseman, and he is really mean. Grama said she took him with her when she went back to Chicago. But he's still here.

Well, when I get old enough I plan on working with dad in the summer. So I hope to see you!
